Whitewash Brick Fireplace - DIY

I used white paint and mixed it with water - a 50/50 blend. We then cut in between the bricks first, and painted over the bricks after - painting about 10 bricks at a time and blotting/wiping clean with the rag.
I will advise you to lay down a sheet or newspaper thoroughly before doing this if you are going to attempt it - it was VERY thin and dripped a lot. I have hardwood floors and put down a lot of newspaper to avoid any unwanted paint on the floor. Anyway, here are some photos!
