I'm Not A Normal Mom

I don't know. I just wake up every morning and I'm like "lets do this" to myself, and I get up and go. I'm embracing the "doing it alone" thing, and I think I'm doing a stellar job at it. You'll see this quote that I have attached here from Oprah Winfrey, and I really do try to remind myself of this every day. "Do what you have to do until you can do what you want to do".
Yes, there are things we HAVE to do to get to where we want to be. Sometimes we have to wake up each day and go to a job we don't want to go to (which, actually is not me), or wake up at an ungodly hour with a newborn baby (which, actually was me), or go to a social function we don't want to be at (which, actually sometimes is and isn't me), or my personal favorite; we eat healthy in hopes to be healthy and fit (which, definitely is me). We do these things because they ultimately lead to a goal we have in mind.
For me, I want to excel in my company and my own business, so I show up every single day and give it 150%. My grandfather always said that no matter what you do in life, do it well. "You can be a ditch digger, but if you are, you be the best damn ditch digger there ever was". This is my mom's favorite quote and I have remembered it my entire life. I want my daughter to grow up healthy and smart - so I make all her food with organic fruits and veggies, spend time on the floor while she practices crawling, and spend some time every day taking her to the park (which doubles as exercise for myself).
Do what you have to do, so that eventually you can do exactly what you WANT to do.
