Corporate to Cuddles

I started this company with this little girl in mind. I had gone back to work following 12 weeks of maternity leave and it was a struggle. Before I gave birth, I was completely dedicated (and obsessed) with my corporate job. I loved my company and the people I worked with, I believed in our products and had no problem advertising them, and I brought home a nice paycheck. The moment I heard my daughter cry for the very first time as she came into this world, I knew my life had changed forever.

Emma & Co. was born shortly after my return to the corporate world. I had changed positions with my company and started a position that would better fit into my mom lifestyle. No more traveling, a regular schedule, and less stress. After the first week back at work and having to leave my baby girl in daycare for an 8 hour day, I realized something was going to have to change. That's when I started Emma & Co. I knew that everything my daughter loved could be brought into this company so that other little girls could love it too.

One day, I hope my corporate job is with my own LLC at home, and I hope that the only reason I'll need daycare is to get work done quicker so that I can spend more hours with my daughter in a day. You never truly understand how important your child will be to you until they arrive in this world. I was convinced that I would love my daughter and raise her while being happy at my job but the truth is, when I am at work all I think about is that little girl.

I am so extremely lucky to have found a daycare that I trust, but I just flat out miss my baby throughout the day! Now I understand the true love a mother has for her daughter, and it is the greatest love of them all
